Submit ArticleThis policy has been created because many researchers are now using generative AI and AI-assisted tools to help them write or review research papers. We want to be clear and transparent with our authors, reviewers, editors, and readers about how these tools can be used.
We will keep updating this policy if AI tools change or improve in the future.
You can use AI tools only to improve the language or clarity of your paper. You must always check and edit what the AI tool writes. AI tools can make mistakes or include wrong or biased information.
Authors are fully responsible for what is written in the paper.
Do not list AI tools as authors. Only people can be authors because only humans can take responsibility for the content.
You must clearly mention in your paper if you used any AI tools while writing. This helps build trust and transparency.
Example of a disclosure:
"The authors used [AI tool name] to improve the grammar and clarity of the manuscript. The final version was carefully reviewed and edited by the authors."
You cannot use AI to change or create images in your paper (for example, modifying graphs or research figures). This includes changing brightness, hiding parts, or adding new elements.
Only if AI is a part of your research method (e.g., medical image analysis using AI), you can use it, but you must:
Describe how the AI was used.
Give the tool’s name, version, and developer.
Make sure the content is accurate and give proper credit.
Provide the original (non-AI) versions of the images if asked.
Creating AI-generated artwork like graphical abstracts or cover images is not allowed, unless you get prior permission from the editor and publisher.
When you review a manuscript:
Do not copy or upload the manuscript or your review into any AI tools.
AI tools may save or misuse the content, which can break confidentiality or privacy laws.
Your review must be written and checked by you — not by an AI. AI cannot replace human judgment or critical thinking.
You may see a note in the manuscript if the authors used AI tools. This is for transparency.
We may use our own trusted AI tools to help check for plagiarism or find reviewers. These tools respect privacy and do not share data outside our system.
Editors must treat all submitted papers as confidential. Do not upload manuscripts or editor letters into any AI tools, even to fix grammar or language.
Editors must make decisions using their own judgment.
AI tools should not be used to help decide if a paper should be accepted or rejected.
We may use secure AI tools for tasks like plagiarism checking, but these tools follow data protection rules and do not share author content.
Pushpa Publishing House supports ethical publishing and human responsibility in the writing, reviewing, and editing process. AI tools can be helpful, but they must be used carefully and transparently.
